About Maison Mercier Frères:
Mercier Frères Décoration is an old decoration company, upholsterer, and furniture manufacturer, located at 100 Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. Founded in 1828 by Claude Mercier, it closed in 1985. Specializing in stylish furniture, it supplied numerous European and Eastern courts, particularly the Imperial Family of Iran.
Maison Mercier Frères participated in the Universal Exhibition of 1867 and 1900. They then published a plan for the exhibition's attractions. In 1914, they opened a branch in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in 1920 a store, the Marble Palace, at 77 Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
