Hello, This exceptional walnut Biedermeier desk is the best example of top-quality Viennese piece from circa 1825. Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. This elegant Biedermeier desk has highly figured walnut veneer with lovely light deep amber color and 200 years old patina. One of the main advantages of this Biedermeier piece is the large writing surface area with one big drawer. The back of the desk is also veneered so it can stand exposed from all sides. The top gallery is veneered in walnut and has four small drawers and one shelf emphasize the beauty of this elegant Biedermeier desk. All brass hardware and locks are original. The piece is in very good condition. We offer our clients to send this elegant Biedermeier piece by air for discounted price of $1500. This is the safest form of transport for fine antiques.
