19th Century Hand Carved Walnut Davenport Writing Desk made in England

About the Item

Davenport desk in walnut and burlwood veneer, inlaid in filleted frames, opening with two flaps, one of which is stepped, the first revealing an inkwell and letter compartment, The second, trimmed with fawn leather and gilded with small irons, reveals three false drawers and three compartments, the right-hand upright opening to four drawers, the left-hand upright featuring simulated drawers, resting on feet with casters (wear to the leather, rubbing, scratches).
