20th Century Empire Style Writing Table or Bureau Plat

About the Item

Writing table or bureau plat in Empire style after Jacob Desmalter. Solid, ebonized beech, partially carved and hand-painted. Cutted out pedestal on profiled disc feet. Over which are typically large corner standing winged moulded, prominent Lions heads. In three divided gold embossed leather plate. In addition, with drawable platter with embossed Leather fixtures. Highly valuable, engraved Bronze patination. Jacob Desmalter, the master craftsman at the Court of Napoleon Bonaparte. Measures: Extended 305 cm Delivery time is around 10-12 weeks (L-Sam-270).
