20th Century Swedish Teakwood Writing Table - Vintage Office Desk by David Rosén

About the Item

A vintage Mid-Century Modern Swedish writing desk, table or bureau plat designed by David Rosen, produced by Nordiska Kompaniet. This well designed piece of furniture with end extensions is made of hand crafted polished Teakwood, enhanced by brass handles in good condition. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1950, Sweden, Scandinavia. David Rosén was born in 1910, in Sweden and passed away in 1993. His personal life and professional training remain lost in history. In the 1950s, Rosen designed and produced a wide array of case goods, tables and chairs, often brass-framed. One of his most famous work was for the Swedish designer company Nordiska Kompaniet was Futura, developed in 1949.
