Antique French Walnut Louis XVI Wall Desk
About the Item
Antique French Walnut Louis XVI Wall Desk is ideal as an ancillary desk in the office, or at home in the library, study or as a student's desk! Drawers and cabinets provide the perfect amount of storage, with an ideal surface for laptops or today's streamlined desktops. Crafted from solid walnut, it features just a touch of carved accents and cast bronze pulls and keyguards for an elegant touch, all supported by tapered legs with foliate embellishments above and below. The bronze keyguard castings are in the Empire style, as are the anthemions carved on each side of the full width drawer, for a more broad neoclassical appeal. Two additional small drawers appear just under the pair of desktop cabinets, with the cabinets opening to reveal even more useful storage. The original tooled leather writing surface completes the look.
