Eugene Printz Art Deco Mahogany Desk 1932



Eugene Printz (1889-1948) African mahogany (Provenance Grand Bassam), circa 1932 Two drawers with the original brass handles. The desk comes with no lock and no key, because all the desks from this University were sold without lock and keys. The students were not allowed to lock their drawers, that is why all the locks were taken off. Provenance : Pavillon des provinces Francaises de la Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, France Eugene Printz designed 81 student rooms for this University Each dorm room came furnished with one bed, one armoire, one bookcase, one desk, one side table, one screen, one armchair and two chairs. This desk is one of them, with a brown leather. Needs to be refinished Measure: 29"1/2 H x 50"1/2 W x 25"1/2 D.
