Louis XV Style Walnut Carved Serpentine Demilune Executive Desk
About the Item
A monumental Louis XV style walnut carved serpentine demilune executive desk. Ornate carvings on the outside including carved floral shapes over a scalloped front and a rope pattern at the bottom. Leather embossed top with gilt trim. Two cabinets on the left-hand side and three cabinets to the right. A small button included under the area near where the chair would sit, originally probably used for communication or unlocking a door. Hand made by Stallings Art Services in the late 20th Century (1990’s). Made in the United States.
No obvious markings on the bottom of the base or anywhere on the pieces.
In very good condition. Gentle wear consistent with age and use.
This prominent and stately desk would make a bold statement in any study or office.
