About the Item
This elegant early 20th-century Louis XVI-style desk is crafted from rich mahogany and features a gold-tooled leather writing surface, exhibiting minor scratches consistent with age and use. It offers five functional drawers on one side, while the opposite side presents faux drawer fronts for aesthetic symmetry. Additionally, two pull-out slides on either side extend the workspace, each featuring matching gold-tooled leather insets.
The piece is adorned with bronze accents, including trim and key entries, each accompanied by its own key. The desk rests on tapered, fluted legs finished with bronze collars and sabots, exemplifying the refined craftsmanship characteristic of the Louis XVI style.
