Rare Lombard Desk from the 18th Century

Rare Lombard desk from the 18th century. This rare center desk was made in Lombardy around the end of the 18th century. The desk is the result of the fine Lombard cabinet-making and entirely inlaid with the use of rosewood and walnut briar which alternate with various woods. The inlays create beautiful neoclassical designs that are reproduced in the round on the desk, the entirely inlaid desk alternates motifs with musical instruments, geometric elements and naturalistic elements. The desk on the front is made up of 4 drawers of various sizes. The various elements and the elegant inlay refer to the famous furniture of the Lombardo cabinetmaker Giuseppe Maggiolini of Parabiago who brought the inlay technique applied to neoclassical furniture to the highest levels This desk has a very elegant line and a particularly refined workmanship. It is in excellent condition, ready to be placed in any room of your home suitable for a study, it can be combined both with antique furniture and even more in classic modern contexts. This object is shipped from Italy.
