Triangular Memphis Style Inspired Lacquered 'Boca Desk' by Leon Rosen for Pace
About the Item
Triangular, almost sail-shaped desk in high gloss lacquered walnut with three drawers. The desk is mounted on cylindrical black lacquered legs, with one prominent tapered black lacquered leg.
There are two minor flaws along the edge, which are documented in the detailed photos, and one larger flaw on the corner; please look at the last photo. Otherwise, the table is in good, solid condition, and so is the high gloss lacquer.
In the mid-1980s Leon Rosen and Pace's collection designed a small collection of coffee tables, and end tables and this desk was inspired by the then-so-successful Memphis style which was initiated by the famous Italian designer Ettore Sottsass.
