About the Item

Set consisting of Centro Progetti Tecno table with set of nine Robert Haussman for De Sede chairs Centro Progetti Tecno, dining table model 'T334A', lacquered wood, aluminum, Italy, 1975-1978 Round dining table with a black lacquered wooden top that has an incredibly soft texture. The tabletop is mounted on a three-legged metal frame in aluminum, contributing to the unit's constructive and open appearance. Centro Progetti Tecno (CPT) originated within Tecno as a separate institution that focused on industrial and communication design. Marco Fantoni was the leading figure supported by other principal colleagues in the company, such as Osvaldo & Valeria Borsani, Enrico Regondi, Kugo Toru, Signor Grassi, Roberto Davoli, and Eugenio Gerli. They strongly believed in team spirit and disguised putting the designer names on items. Therefore, all pieces of furniture created within Tecno be presented as the creation of the team. Dimensions table: H 71.00 W 247.50 D 247.50 cm I H 27.95 W 97.44 D 97.44 in. Robert Haussmann for De Sede, set of nine 'Unesco' dining or conference chairs, model 'RH-304', leather, chrome-plated steel, Switzerland, 1957 Designed by Robert Haussmann, these cantilever chairs were created for the Swiss department at the Unesco Headquarters in Paris (1957). Its defining visual element is the cantilevered structure. The absence of back legs instantly creates a sense of lightness, almost as if the seat is floating. This formal gesture – an architectural "lift" – is made possible by a sharply bent chrome-plated steel frame that balances engineering confidence with a visual sense of flow. The steel tubes dip and rise in a continuous line. The seat and backrest are generously cushioned. Upholstered in deeply tufted cognac brown leather, it is warm and slightly glossy, buttoned in a grid. Despite being over six decades old, it still speaks fluently in the language of contemporary design. De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Over time, the company expanded its vision and dedicated itself to crafting high-quality seating furniture from the finest leather. In 1965, this family-run business evolved into a professional enterprise known as De Sede AG. Renowned for their meticulous attention to detail, De Sede products prioritize the needs and comfort of their users. Consequently, every DeSede item is made from premium materials, ensuring both durability and comfort. Kindly note that the chairs are in good, used condition with signs of age and use, including some spots and discoloration on the leather. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists. Dimensions chairs: H 78.5 W 54 D 57.5 cm I H 30.91 W 21.26 D 22.64 in. Seat Height 45.50 cm I 17.91 in.
