About the Item

Fun and funky Mid-Century Modern dinette set featuring an oval table with double pedestal base of aluminum and six two toned wood grained and black vinyl swivel chairs with aluminum bases. In good vintage condition. OK. I give up. I can’t find the maker of this dinette set! It could be chrome craft. It could be B. Brody Seating Company. I did find a reference to this exact set online from The People History website as a 1966 Chrome and Woodgrain Modern Table Set with a description of: “Polished cast aluminum bases in free-flow design. Chrome-plated tubular steel columns. Rosewood grained plastic tabletop is forty-two by sixty-six inches and expands to eighty-four inches with eighteen-inch leaf. Full back chairs with cotton and polyurethane padded seats. Table and six chairs.” Perfect description except they forgot to say that the chairs are two-toned with woodgrain vinyl on the outside backs and seat aprons and black ribbed vinyl on the inside backs and seat tops. Plus, they swivel. And oh, those bases! Free-form as they described or Atomic style or they make me think of the Jetsons or Star Trek. Any way you describe them they are incredible! This set is not in fabulous condition but it is in good condition given some minor fixes. We have tried to photograph any flaws. I believe with a few repairs the vinyl could be usable if you want to keep it original but it would look fantastic recovered. Use it in a kitchen, or a dining area, or in a rec room as a game table.
