We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning fully restored circa 1820 George II flamed mahogany extending dining table
A very well made and decorative table, this is one of the finest quality examples you will see anywhere, it is made of solid mahogany, most likely Cuban or Honduras, these timbers were being imported by all the finest cabinet makers of the day like Gillows etc
Its large enough to use as a 12 person dining table fully extended, you could actually seat 14 if you placed two people at either end, it's a very deep table so this could be managed just fine, compacted it's a good 8 seater
The table as mentioned has been fully restored, the timber has all been washed back, then traditionally French polished from the ground up, the result is a perfect period example
