About the Item

In 1955, Swiss designer Fred Ruf designed this minimalist dining table for Wohnbedarf Switzerland. Thanks to an extension leaf that fits between the two tops, the table can be extended from 140 cm to 200 cm. The wooden tabletop is covered with a black linoleum. The elegant base with its tapered legs is in black lacquered wood. This is the 1st and most elegant edition of Fred Ruf's ‘Auszugstisch’ table. The Auszugstisch was presented at the ‘Die Gute Form’ exhibition in Zurich in the 1950s.
