French 19th Century Fruitwood Farm Table

About the Item

Nearly ten feet long, this 19th century French farmhouse table shows attractive grain and patina in the massive planks. The fruitwood top, 1 ⅜” thick, bears the marks of many generations and some visible repairs in warm cherry wood that give the table endearing charm. A plain apron of oak connects to straight, square oak legs by square dowel construction. The stretcher running the length has been left more naturally textured without being perfectly flat on each side. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to bring out the organic beauty.
