    By William Earle
    Located in Columbia, SC
The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum refers to William as the American Minimalist. Perhaps no other design of his exemplifies Minimalism and Modernism more than his iconic 'hal' pedestal, designed in 2000 and singularly responsible for ushering the faceted craze into contemporary American and European design. With a large glass round, this table is perfect to anchor a beautiful dining room. Choose from the Teak shown, or one of William's other suggested finishes. If none are quite perfect, William is delighted to help you choose from more than a hundred others. The glass top is 63" round and 1/2" thick, and is included in this listing. About William Earle Producer Joel Silver ( Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, The Matrix ) purchased William's first functional design - a case comprised of four separate hexagonal volumes, and immediately shipped it to his South Carolina home, the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece 'Auldbrass', for installation. William's 'hal' , designed in 2000, singularly ignited the faceted craze in contemporary design, and continues to be one of the most popular tables in history. William was selected to represent Surface magazine at the Salone del Mobile Milano 2004. In 2006, Ellen Lupton, the curator of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, when asked by Metropolis magazine to compare American and European designers, said that William Earle was more like a European and stood out as the American Minimalist. In 2008 his 'Nude Descending...

  • Bespoke Oval Table, Reclaimed Hardwood with Brass Base, by P. Tendercool

We created this table for a San Francisco based interior design firm who specified our reclaimed Makha Tae wood. They asked if we could bleach and oil the top and requested the edge of the table to be very slim and beveled. Another request involved the sand-cast base in solid brass: Since they welcomed an antique finish, an we like authenticity, we suggested not to apply a primer on the brass, so it would “Age with Grace”. Our client LOVED. Bespoke, by P. Tendercool Model: FTOP-PT12-BS1-MT-BL-NO Top: Reclaimed hardwood Top finish: Bleached - Natural Oil Base: Sand cast brass (No Coated) Base finish: Golden Sand Dimensions: Oval 211x 130 x 75 cm (W x D x H) Oval 84...

We created this oval table for a client in München, Germany. After hearing about the client's space we suggested this 'Golden Section Oval', a perfect oval within a perfectly proportioned recangle. The client selected reclaimed Golden Teak we salvaged form a heritage house which was torn down on the outskirts of Bangkok. We created the top by joining several boards and bevelled the edges according to our client's instructions after which we applied our signature oil finish. The table is mounted on a pair of PT12 solid sand-cast brass bases, with a brushed finish we call 'Golden Sand'. Model: FTOP-PT12-BS1-GT-DO Top: Reclaimed hardwood Top finish: Diamond oil Base: Sand cast brass Base finish: Golden Sand Dimensions: Oval 211x 130 x 75 cm (W x D x H) Oval 84...
