About the Item
Dining Table 47.5x78x30" tall. Introducing the "Fiordland" series of dining, coffee tables & other pieces named after a region from my country of birth, New Zealand. Taking the techniques utilized in production of radial designs for my entrance doors, we have imagined the same principles in fine furniture. This design comprises of a top that speaks for itself, while the base has no start or finish with the walnut flowing without interruption for pure elegance.
Available in Round (42-70") or elliptical (72"-96") and in coffee tables. All tables are set to 30" in height although any height, width and length may be requested. The table as photographed herein is available for immediate purchase and measures 78" x 47.5" x 30" tall. All models ordered that we put into production may have a brass or smaller walnut button in the middle of the table at your request.
You will see an image with an asymmetric base as well which is a one-off and you can select this base if so desired, as it is the only one we will ever produce.
Every piece of walnut is individually cut and applied in my workshop in West Virginia, and I work with local and interstate suppliers of lumber and woods. We can use most species to meet individual needs, and have flexibility to craft the tables to most lengths, widths and heights as needed. We are very particular in the wood selected that must contain certain attributes to make a radial pattern you will not see anywhere else. Our technique is unique.
All our furniture and doors are built to standards that exceed expectations whether that be through our superior tops that will never sag, our choice of walnut of which we are given first dibs in selecting from suppliers, our use of glues and substrates that are normally reserved for appearance only or highest grade production, or through to our finishes which are designed to look beautiful and yet be almost entirely immune to hot and cold beverages, highly scratch resistant and yet look and feel delicate. These tables are heavy, produced to craftsmanship levels reserved for the best. Nothing is missed, the table is sturdy, the edges rounded, a 3/4" sub structure beneath the top mounts the table top to the plinth base.
