Postmodern Architectural Dining Table Black Molded Plaster Double Pedestal Base
About the Item
Handsome vintage Postmodern Architectural dining table comprised of a molded plaster double pedestal base with a black stucco textured finish, solid oak cross bars, and a rectangular 1 ¼” beveled 3/8” thick glass top with angled corners. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The molded plaster has been given a fresh coat of black paint. The double pedestal base is comprised of two sculptural square molded plaster slabs with a black painted stucco finish that are connected by two solid oak cross bars that horizontally pierce through their designated slots on the slabs… they kind of look like huge popsicle sticks! LOL, it is a simple and oh-so-stunning design!! AND it has a wonderful rectangular 3/8” thick glass top with 1 ¼” bevel & angled corners. It is Postmodern Architectural in style with a bit of a Southwestern flair, and it is going to be BEAUTIFUL in your dining room surrounded by fabulous dining chairs. And this versatile table allows for oh so many varied and appropriate styles of chairs. Oh. My. Goodness!!!! Look at this absolutely gorgeous Greek Revival style dining table attributed to Bernhardt!!! The base is comprised of three octagon shaped columns with a gray & black marbleized technique covered with laminate and a black painted inverted crown molding around the base of each column. The glass top is an elongated octagon shape or a rectangle with angled corners and beautiful, beveled edges. The base on the columns appears to mirror the bevel on the glass top… it’s really striking!! This table is large enough to be used as an office conference table...
