Rectangular table, attributed to J. Leleu, Art Deco – 1940

About the Item

Magnificent dining table attributed to the famous French designer Jules Leleu (1883–1961). The top of this table features diamond-shaped marquetry surrounding a floral arrangement made of different wood species embellished with mother-of-pearl. A beautiful veneer surface is highlighted by two intricately shaped lemon tree fillets. This table allows for the addition of extension leaves, transforming this 10-person table into a 14-person table. The scalloped apron rests on a double pedestal covered with brass rings. With its precious wood species and refined shape, this table attributed to J. Leleu has benefited from remarkable design work.
