Rectangular table, attributed to J. Leleu, Art Deco – 1940
About the Item
Magnificent dining table attributed to the famous French designer Jules Leleu (1883–1961).
The top of this table features diamond-shaped marquetry surrounding a floral arrangement made of different wood species embellished with mother-of-pearl. A beautiful veneer surface is highlighted by two intricately shaped lemon tree fillets.
This table allows for the addition of extension leaves, transforming this 10-person table into a 14-person table.
The scalloped apron rests on a double pedestal covered with brass rings.
With its precious wood species and refined shape, this table attributed to J. Leleu has benefited from remarkable design work.
(Two 50cm extension leaves can be created upon request)
