19th Century Mahogany Drop Leaf Table with Turned Legs

About the Item

The dark chocolate tone and the patina of the mahogany make this table irresistible. It is a cllassical style, mahogany drop-leaf table from New England, manufactured in the late 19th century. It is unmarked. Elegance and it saves space. This table has a past and many "personalities." The rectangular top has a straight edge and two hinged drop leaves with fly supports and squared corners over a frame fitted with a single long drawer. The hinges and hardware work perfectly to raise or drop the leaves. The table is raised on cylindrical ring-turned legs. This piece is ready for installation and service for the next 100 years. This piece was practical in the late 19th century and it is practical in the early 21st as an elegant space-saving antique with style.
