Antique Mahogany Oval Victorian Sunderland/Folding Table with Turned Legs

About the Item

A lovely Victorian English antique Sunderland table with turned legs. A folding table which is 46"l when extended but folds down to 12.5"l when closed, this is a great option for those who have only occasional use of a table or for whom space is at a premium. Antique Sutherland Tables are a 19th Century Victorian invention of a much smaller gateleg table design with a particularly narrow centre. These tables are the ideal serving table as they are of lovely larger proportions when extended but fold away neatly when not in use. The drop flaps are usually long, almost to the floor. They are supported on a gate leg action and have beautifully turned upright supports with a turned cross stretcher and elegant scrolled splayed legs. Dimensions: 33.75"w x 46"l x 30"h Condition: Good. The table folds and unfolds with ease. There are some small flea bites around the table top edges and one visible scratch of approx 2.5"l. Shows well. Ready to place.
