19th century Painted Cast Iron Marble Top Lamp Table ~ Pedestal is an intriguing combination of styles rolled into a diminutive example of fine craftsmanship! The beautiful veining of the black marble top provides an elegant yet carefree surface for anything from statuary to vases to lamps. The marble is supported by a structure underneath adorned with chains hung decoratively in swags. The body of the table, however, steals the show, with an intricate central shaft supported by three Renaissance-inspired legs depicting stylized dragons, right down to the paw feet. All the iron was painted providing a modicum of protection, making this table suitable for indoors or outdoors in protected areas.
