About the Item

The fusion of styles, George III, East meets West Chinoiserie, and the Grand Rapids Furniture Company. It's all here in one piece. The mahogany has developed the most beautiful patina on this vintage side cabinet in the style of George III. The Grand Rapids Furniture Company has produced so many visual centers of interest in this three tier shelf. Of near square section, the molded edged top has a pie-crust rim and pierced lattice-style sides, the frame fitted with two additional shelves with pierced medial returns, on short straight legs. The reeding on the legs creates an additional visual center of interest. There are also "frogs" on four corners, and there is a little tag underneath that says Valley Furniture Co, Grand Rapids. The mahogany has a deep patina. The table finish is a little compromised with irregular spots that can be conserved and restored.
