About the Item

Art Deco Game Table Mahogany France 1930 A game table that offers more than just function – this rare Art Deco piece evokes the elegant world of 1930s French salons: the scent of cigars, the gleam of polished wood, a glass of cognac on the side, and the timeless rituals of leisure. Crafted from rich mahogany and finished in deep high gloss, the table features a striking veneered top in a refined geometric pattern. The square top is reversible: one side polished wood, the other covered in black felt – ideal for cards, dice, or backgammon. Each corner holds a pull-out tray with original chrome-plated ashtrays and round cut-outs for glasses. Three of the four ashtrays remain – the fourth may have been lost to time… or to the one non-smoker in the group. Slender tapered legs enhance the graceful silhouette while maintaining structural strength. A collector’s item with both soul and substance – perfect for connoisseurs of timeless design. Dimensions: Width: 80 cm (31.5”) Depth: 80 cm (31.5”) Height: 71 cm (28”) Details: – Original French Art Deco game table, ca. 1930 – Mahogany with high-gloss lacquer – Reversible tabletop: polished wood / black felt – Four pull-out trays with three original ashtrays – Professionally restored with charming traces of age
