About the Item

This beautiful card, or games table was made in France in the mid 19th century. Please have a look at all out photographs for a closer look at the gorgeous mahogany with brass inlay. The games surface covered in a crimson baize with a smart tooled edge. As you can see, the table turns into an attractive side table when the games are over. Your cards, coasters and gaming chips can be stored inside the top when not in use. Such a practical and decorative design! Superb quality. The original hinges, delicate ball feet and inlay are made of brass and together with the wood work are beautifully crafted. A fantastic French antique. Dimensions shown are of the table extended into a games surface. When it's folded back into a side table the top measures 55cm by 63cm.
