Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely English Oak Victorian Aesthetic Movement Chessboard table with Staunton style Victorian Chess set house in a Chinese Export circa 1920's box

A good looking and well made suite, firstly you have a super collectable Aesthetic Movement table, most likely made by Jas Shoolbred based on the fret working carving to the stretchers, the table top has a mahogany oak and walnut Chessboard inlaid, the pieces are boxwood carved Victorian in the Staunton taste
Overall the condition is period, we have cleaned waxed and polished it, there will be age and use related patina marks, the chess sets condition is very good, I can see one chip at the top of the white queen, otherwise it looks period perfect
