Antique Guéridon Whimsically Carved-Wood Table
About the Item
A nicely-carved Guéridon style table from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. This antique American occasional table, circa 1880-1920, has a round-shaped top which is presented upon an ornately-carved pedestal base with whimsical scallop and pierced-saw carvings that splay out into four feet and are connected at center and adorn with a small ball finial at the bottom center. The dark brown coloring has areas of wear and patina throughout, giving it a more rustic appearance (which may be well suited for a mountain retreat home!). The top has some slight warping (refer to additional images for more detail on condition). This turn of the century Guéridon table with whimsical base is just shy of 3 feet in diameter.
