Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Gueridons with Breche d'Alep Marble Tops
About the Item
A pair of French Louis XVI style gilt-bronze gueridon tables with lovely variegated marble tops, after the model by Adam Weisweiler (Master, 1778) (French, circa mid-20th century). Each of these elegant gueridons has a circular breche d'alep marble top surrounded by a decorated rim and supported on three pairs of simulated bamboo columns. The columns are united by a tripartite stretcher surmounted by a raised circular dish and terminating in cast bun feet.
