Pietra Dura and Victorian Circular Table on Giltwood Pedestal Base
About the Item
This fine Pietra Dura circular top is delicately inlaid with flowers and fruiting vines, around a central reserve. It is set within a handsome carved tabletop; the gilded base is elaborately carved with figures and masks on a baluster-turned tripod base. This unusual table was perhaps brought home from Italy after a Grand Tour.. It would make a wonderfully dramatic statement in a hall or salon.
