19th Century Papier-Mache Work Table

About the Item

A fabulous quality 19th century papier-mache work table in lovely original condition, it’s decorated all-over with mother of pearl and gilding, wonderfully shaped top opening to reveal a velvet lined interior with various apparatus and compartments, supported on a turned column terminating on a platform base with scroll feet. Some of the gilding is slightly rubbed through but for it’s age very crisp, circa 1850.
