18th Century Irish Carved Oak Lowboy

About the Item

18th century oak lowboy from Ireland. The top has lovely graining and color, and has a hand carved decorated edge, following down to hand carved decorated sides and a single drawer in the front, which has reeded carved decoration. The drawer is flanked by carving depicting leaves and below the drawer, there is more decorative carving in the style of a fan. This piece is very unusual in that the sides of the back legs are also hand carved decorated, which will give the piece a lovely profile from the sides. The front legs are cabriole and have hand carved knees and end in spear feet. This an absolutely wonderful piece and will look fabulous in any home or office.
