English 19th Century Oak Lowboy with Drawer, Chippendale Handle and Slipper Feet

$3,750

About

An English oak lowboy table from the 19th century, with single drawer, brass Chippendale style hardware, curving legs and slipper feet. Created in England during the 19th century, this oak table, called a lowboy, features a rectangular single planked top sitting above a hand-cut dovetailed drawer with slightly raised panel, fitted with an elegant brass Chippendale handle. The drawer's inside is left unfinished and showcases a slight separation in the boards revealing its age. The sides and back present a grand simplicity of décor. The table is raised on four cabriole legs with carved accents on the knees, resting on elegant slipper feet. Boasting a brown patina, this English oak single drawer lowboy table from the 19th century will bring a touch of simple elegance to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway, topped with a table lamp, a candlestick or a statuette.
