A fine English lowboy or dressing table in walnut and burl walnut. Four drawers with single drawer on top and three smaller drawers below. The drawers are all cock beaded with feather banding surrounding burl walnut panels. The cabriole legs also have a C-scroll at the top and end in slipper feet. The top is quarter veneered with feather banding. The brasses are correct for the period. The piece dates from 1730 and a very similar example is found in John Andrews book , British Antique Furniture...
