Bertha Schaefer for M. Singer & Sons Walnut Serving Tables

About the Item

Award winning set of nesting serving tables designed by Bertha Schaefer for M. Singer & Sons in 1952 and produced in Italy for the Singer Modern collection. These were exhibited in the Good Design show at MoMa in 1952 (see archive photos). Described as a normal chair-side table, rectangular in shape, with four little drop-leaf tables suspended from slots. Each of the four serving tables, fully opened, measure 16.5 inches diameter x 22 inches high. Oiled finish. Stylish and practical. 1stdibs estimator defaults to in-home truck delivery.
