1950s Italian Occasional Table in the Style of Carlo Mollino
About the Item
1950s Italian modernist three leg table made of mahogany stained beechwood and an asymmetric glass top which is roughly the shape of a heart or a guitar pick. Two insect-like arms reach out from an organic joint in the two back legs and with dainty hands support the glass. This is the chicest little table which has a sculptural lightness and is clearly inspired by Carlo Mollino's earth shattering design No. 1114.
BG has created a custom version of this table in solid brass or solid bronze. Price upon request.
