About the Item

This set of Maison Jansen nesting tables were made with one thing in mind.... Quality! This set is equipped with the original glass with mirrored borders around each piece and the frames are made of high quality brass with intricate detailing. This set is perfect for anyone looking to bring a sense of character and subtle luxury into their home and is bound to have your guests intrigued by their attention to detail. Maison Jansen was an interior decoration office based out of Paris founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. They specialized in mostly Louis XVI style furniture and then progressing and adapting to changes throughout the years until they transitioned into Deco and Mid Century modern in their final years. The firm closed its doors in 1989. The firm was taken over Stephane Boudin in 1920 who continued the legacy and was responsible for decorating the white house with Jackie Kennedy while President JFK was in office. The set of tables are in good vintage condition with the exception of some tarnishing to the brass as well as some patches of the mirrored borders becoming distressed as shown in the photos but otherwise good condition.
