Large Vintage Studio Craft Pedestal in the Manner of JB Blunk
About the Item
A large and incredible stump form pedestal in the manner of JB Blunk. Organic, minimalist form with thoughtful angular cuts, which turn this piece into a sculpture of its own. The reddish hue of the California pine radiates warmth, and the smooth patinaed surface is beautiful and soft to the touch. The top of the pedestal has been carved out for a sturdy sheet of patinated copper, which can be removed if you so like. Overall excellent vintage condition with some scuffs and scratches here and there which only contribute to the character of the piece. Solid as hell, and ready for use. This piece may be used as a pedestal or as a tall side table beside or behind a sofa.
