Originally used to present a statue in a church, this late 18th century French oak pedestal or plinth features a hand carved face of an angel with outstretched wings. Hand carved acanthus leaves detail the front and sides. The top of the pedestal measures: 13.75 inches wide by 6 inches deep. A unique pedestal, circa 1780.
