About the Item
Very special pedestal, made in the late 19. century, around 1880 in France.
This column has a particularly beautiful structure, the base consists of 4 strongly curved feet, which merge into a column. This is structured by ball decoration and the upper (unscrewable platform) is beautifully decorated with maple inlays. These represent the symbol of France, the fleur de lis - the iris flower.
The object is made of solid walnut, partially veneered.
Measurements approx: height 44,9 in - 114,05 cm, diameter 17,91 in - 45,4 cm
upper diameter: 15,1 in - 38 cm

With this pillar, not only the object presented on it - such as a bust, a planter or a clock - is an eye-catcher but also the pedestal itself. A special French piece in perfectly restored condition.
