19th Century French Louis XIII Carved Barley Twist Walnut Table Desk
About the Item
Incorporate extra, functional surface space into your living room or den with this elegant antique table. Crafted in the Perigord region of France, circa 1850, the side table stands on thick barley twist legs ending with bun feet, embellished with a thick stretcher at the base decorated with a central finial. The Louis XIII end table is dressed with a large drawer across the front decorated with the original wooden knob. The elegant writing table desk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Intricate, beautifully carved and versatile, this sturdy table could also be used as a nightstand or bedside table.
