About the Item

J. & J. Kohn, Model No. 1262 (1908) Bent beech and plywood, original condition, never restored. A rare and authentic example of early 20th-century Viennese design, this table (model no. 1262) by the renowned manufacturer J. & J. Kohn exemplifies the innovative spirit of the Wiener Werkstätte era. Distinguished by its four upright columns connected by a striking grid of 4 x 5 spherical beechwood balls, the piece achieves a refined balance of symmetry, craftsmanship, and playfulness. The circular base and top, both in bent beech and plywood, retain their original patina — untouched and unrestored — offering a unique opportunity for collectors and connoisseurs to acquire a pure, museum-worthy artifact of pre-modernist furniture history.
