About the Item
Rare side table designed by Abraham Palatnik (1928-2020), produced by “Arteviva” in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) around 1954. The table top is made out of black wood frame and painted glass, structure in solid iron. The painted glass has characteristic traces of Palatnik. The renowned kinetic artist founded together with his brother a furniture factory called "Arteviva" (1954-1964) with the desire to bring art into the interior of homes, embedding his creations in domestic objects, mainly with painted glass, outstanding for its abstraction, chromaticism and geometries.
