Extraordinary, handcrafted antique wooden dumbwaiter table, England.
This amazing quality and excellent condition table is another great example of the level of the workmanship that had been achieved in Europe in the late 1800s. All handcrafted and handcarved out of the most beautiful, solid wood available this striking piece of (practical) furniture would only have been made for the very well to do in the mid to late Victorian era. Over the many decades this striking wooden table has grown the most amazing patina and for a 150 year old Victorian piece to still be in such amazing condition is like an ode to its maker. Former owners clearly took great care in preserving this quality crafted and great looking beauty of a table. It stands as strong and stabile as the day it was handcrafted and as shown in various images, you can use this rare antique in all kinds of positions. Besides being highly practical and of great quality this antique also is of immense aesthetic beauty. Its rare sight and class will always draw people's attention, also making it a wonderful talking piece.
