Early 19th Century Swedish Red Pine Side Table with Single Drawer

About the Item

This delightful pine side table comes from the Swedish countryside and still maintains the original brick red painted finish to the base. It is the traditional fluted detailing along the drawer and legs, combined with additional carved accents such as a carved flower that becomes the drawer pull which make this table a special find. The top was left natural pine; generations of use are revealed in every stain, scratch, and other signs of distressing including the aged-separation of the wood top. Restored, this side table is strong, stable and ready for use. Wax finish. All scratches, cracks, nicks, stains (see top) and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special Swedish table. Wear and distress are seen to the painted finish throughout (including legs), which is reflective of over 200 years of use. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
