Exceptional Moroccan Moorish side table dating from the early 20th century. This finely handcrafted wooden piece presents an architectural composition inspired by traditional Moorish design, articulated with horseshoe arches, turned columns and suspended carved finials.
The surface retains its original hand-painted polychrome decoration, displaying a beautifully aged and nuanced patina. Rich tones of red, ochre, green and black highlight the geometric and floral motifs, bearing witness to authentic Moroccan craftsmanship of the period. Areas of paint loss, wear and minor imperfections are visible throughout, consistent with age and use, and contribute to the table’s depth, character and originality.
