French 19th Century Louis XV Style Napoleon III Period Side Table
About the Item
A striking and unique French 19th century Louis XV st. Napoleon III period burl walnut, ebony and brass inlaid side table. The table is raised by beautifully shaped cabriole legs with pierced ormolu sabots and brass inlaid fillets which extend along the arbalest shaped frieze. At the frieze is a single drawer decorated with brass inlaid scrolled designs framing the burl walnut. The same design is repeated on each side and the back. The top displays a most impressive design with burl walnut reserves framed within scrolled foliate brass fillets on an Ebony background. All original gilt throughout.
