French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Mahogany Side Table, Attributed to Dasson

About the Item

An extremely elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany and ormolu side table, attributed to Henry Dasson. The table is raised by circular tapered fluted legs with fine topie shaped sabots, richly chased top caps and lovely foliate fitted chandelles. Above each leg are detailed ormolu rosettes flanking recessed panels. Each panel is framed within a beaded mottled ormolu band and conceals a single drawer at the front. The circular top displays a striking and most decorative quarter veneered pattern showcasing the beautiful mahogany grain. All framed within a raised band with a mottled ormolu gallery.
