About the Item
An elegant French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany, ormolu, and white Carrara marble gateleg table. The oval shaped table is raised by beautifully turned legs with arched supports at each side and elegantly curved elements. Each outer support is connected by a fine turned stretcher with a central block reserve around which the two additional legs pivot outwards to support the tilt top. The top displays its original fitted white Carrara marble surface framed within a mahogany border and beautiful pierced wrap around ormolu gallery.
