French Small "sheep bone" table in fruit wood - Louis XIV style - 19th century
About the Item
Beautiful cherry wood table from the 19th century, in the style of the 17th, featuring a frieze drawer and four curved legs connected by a spacer.
The lyre-shaped uprights, with elegant curves, are joined by the brace crosspieces of the X-shaped spacer.
The seventeenth century favored fairly small tables, placed on strongly crisscrossed turned legs, this Louis XIV style table is a representation of this.
This table has a very beautiful original patina. It can be used as a side desk or console.
